Lean On Each Other

Last weekend, I played at a barn with a very special family who is dear to my heart.  I’ve been so fortunate to have photographed The N Family since Sohan was a toddler, then when Rashmi was pregnant, again when Tejan was born; and then got to follow their development as a family of four until now.

Each year goes by quickly and each year, I feel so much joy in seeing Sohan and Tejan’s beautiful beautiful smiles, hearing what they are up to, and getting many bear hugs!  I am so proud of these boys.  They are incredible individuals who are strong and smart, and they love one another.  You can see it in how they lean on each other — both literally and figuratively!

One thing I always forget is Rashmi’s stunning beauty.  She is beautiful on the inside and she makes me laugh HARD because she doesn’t hold back (love her!), so I forget just how beautiful she is on the outside too.  So, you’ll see some of her in this sneak peek.  I can’t help it.

And Sat.  I adore how he spills over with love for his boys.  He is the kind of dad who doesn’t stand on the side, but rather, is there with the action.  In fact, he’s usually the one who instigates the activities, like climbing huuuuuge trees.  If there’s a will, there’s a way!  😉

Enjoy the sneak peek.

Beautiful photos! I love the boys personalities showing through. Any chance you could share what settings and equipment you used to capture these amazing images?

    • Hi Stephanie,

I can’t go through all the settings for each photo (takes too long), but if there is one that you really want to know, let me know what it is and I’ll look it up when I have a chance!

As for the equipment, that one is easier to answer! I used my Nikon D800 and 2 lenses: 24mm and 85mm! And that was it. No other accessories or equipment (flash, reflector, etc). Everything was naturally lit with ambient light.

      Have a good day!
