Starting with Pizza

This weekend, I met with Rebecca, Frank, and their kids at a beloved area of San Francisco:  Ghirardelli Square.  The H Family have had photoshoots before, every year in fact, but never a Lifestyle shoot.  So when we stopped for pizza at the start of the shoot, the kids — Kyle, Kelly and Kayden — were a little stunned.  heh heh.

When tummies were full, they walked around the city, enjoyed the view of the Golden Gate Bridge, and sat in the sun to watch the beautiful bay rippling with sailboats and swimmers.  Then we finished the shoot with scoops of homemade ice cream.  Isn’t Lifestyle Photography cool?  😀

By the way, this shoot marked a very important chapter for the H Family that is worth noting:  Kyle just graduated from High School and will be headed off to College!  I am so honored to capture this slice of their family’s life.  What a big milestone!

  1. ‘Cisco looks like an amazing place to photograph. You have the dream location at arms length.

  2. It’s true…SF has so many interesting places to photograph, whether you like photographing landscapes, portraits, events, concerts or street scenes. I think small towns are great to photograph too though! 🙂

  3. I love your attitude about keeping photo sessions true to the families and people you are shooting. I’m a beginner photographer and really felt inspire by some of your posts and articles I’ve read. Right now I’m exploring all aspects of photography, and just learning what lifestyle photography is all about. I’ll definitely be following you 🙂

    • Yay! I’m so glad you feel inspired in some way from looking at my photography, Jennifer! 🙂 The beginning stages of your photography journey is so much fun because everything is new and fresh. Enjoy! And thank you so much for your lovely comment.
