The quality of a photograph depends on the image captured as well as where you print your photo and on what paper. I learned quickly that not all photo labs are created equal! And I watched color on cheap photo paper fade in a year! The lab I use is phenomenal, and I only print on professional grade paper. My color photos are printed on Kodak Professional E-Surface Paper. This paper produces excellent skin tones and brings out brighter colors. The standard archival value is 100 years in home display and 200 years in dark storage. My BxW photos are printed on True Black and White Paper. The difference between regular BxW and True BxW is that True BxW is silver-based rather than dye-based, so the images are richer and have greater depth. Trust me, you want this paper for your BxW prints! Metallic paper is the coolest paper I’ve ever seen and touched! It uses a patented combination of film and laminate layers that produce striking, three-dimensional, lasting images. The pearlescent surface provides gorgeous color saturations and makes the paper resistant to tearing and curling. For Metallic Paper, add $5 for 4x6 and 5x7, $10 for 8x10 and 11x14, $25 for 16x20 and 20x24. |
