The Magic Garden

I once spoke to a wise woman who related relationships to gardens. You have to tend to it regularly, even when you're tired or "too busy". Some days when the weather is immensely dry or blistering hot, the garden needs even more care. And if you neglect it for too long, it may be hard to revive.

This analogy resonates with me because I love gardening (and dogs and sushi!) and also have experienced my share of relationship births and deaths. Anyhow, I digress. :)

Gardens are also pretty magical. They grow from a tiny seed with just dirt, water, and sun! They can smell great, be vibrant, and look beautiful. And being in it can bring a feeling of tranquility and hope.

This garden setting was a fitting location for Julie and Chris' lifestyle shoot. Their kids are growing like weeds (heehee) and their connection vivaciously blooms every year.

Seeing Julie's family is always one of my year's highlights and reminds me of My Why.

"If I had a flower for every time I thought of you... I could walk through my garden forever." ~Alfred Lord Tennyson
