The idea of keeping only what “sparks joy” seems like a trend, but it is much more than that. From what I learned from creative pro and organization queen, Amy Johnson, figuring out how to organize your home spans over to a clarity of mind that effects all areas of your life! It was so much fun to hang out with Amy for a couple hours to capture images for her new KonMari home organization business, A Clear Way. I won’t post too many photos, so her website — when it is comple
When you are ready to buy a new house, but you love your current city, property, and schools… you don’t move. Instead, you renovate! When I saw Rashmi and Sat’s house mid-renovation (they were kind enough to buy Girl Scout cookies from my daughters), I had to pick my jaw off the floor! It was obvious we have their next photoshoot location. This tailor-made home is stylish and warm, just like Rashmi who decided every detail. And this shoot captures — and celebrates — their
If you live in the Bay Area, you have most likely heard of Super Franks, if not already frequented there! It is THE nicest children’s entertainment center I’ve ever been to! With real furniture, like leather club chairs, a Starbucks counter, real food that actually tastes good, and themed rooms that divide children by age groups, it is the best place to visit where everyone can enjoy themselves — toddlers, teens AND adults! Yesterday’s commercial shoot at Super Franks was al
I took Brayden and Tyler’s photos last Winter, so it was awesome to see how much they’ve grown in 5 months. Tyler can now walk! And Brayden’s face is that of an older boy and he’s taller. Another difference from last time is that we’ve included Yaz, their “furry baby”, as Andra calls him! I had lots of fun taking Yaz’s portrait, as you will see below! This is why I’ve titled this blog post with Yaz’s name (hee hee). (And don’t worry, R Family… I will have more photos of P
I went to my first-ever Pleasanton Mother’s Club (PMC) Mother’s Day brunch. This year, the brunch was held at the Castlewood Country Club in Pleasanton. It is situated on top of the hills in Pleasanton. In the banquet room where we were, you could see the rolling green hills of their golf course and palm trees. Breathtaking, even on a rainy day! For a moment, you think you’re on vacation rather than in the East Bay ‘burbs! I brought my camera, as you can see, and planned o
This handsome little boy, Owen (3 yrs old), is in my daughter’s preschool class. This morning’s shoot was focused on him and his younger sister, Stella (1.5 yrs old). Here are some of my favorites from this morning… In this photo below, the focus is on Owen’s big brown eyes. And the balloons give this photo a nice “pop” of color. (Pun intended!) There’s something about this angle, Owen’s smiling face, the trees speckled with sunlight, and the hint of balloons (but you don’
Super Franks Photoshoot Part 2: Kids playing and food shots! (Click here to see the first photoshoot of the facility!) For this commercial photoshoot, we used children from three families as our models. You may *ehem* recognize a couple of them… Sherman’s Tank (mini gym) The Arcade Taught Town The delectable food and dining area Don’t these photos make you hungry?!! How cool that you can watch a movie while you’re eating! You can be nutty, goofy, and plain ol’ silly here!
